Hi Guys, today in this post I'm going to share a cool trick to lock your folder in Windows 10 without any software.

There are always a file or folder that you want to keep away from prying eyes. Windows doesn't give you an option to lock any Folder by default. You may need to download a third-party software to lock a folder, it may cost you few bugs or it can slow down your system. Alternatively, you can Hide your file or folder like most of the people do but that's not secure either.

But there's a way you can easily lock a Folder without spending a single penny.

So, today you are going to be a programmer without any prior programming knowledge.

Here's How You Can Lock a Folder in Windows 10 Without Any Software

1) Create a Folder in your Drive, this will be the path where all your private files and folders will be stored.

2) Now open Notepad and copy paste the below code.

if NOT EXIST Private goto MDPrivate

:CONFIRM

echo Are you sure to lock this folder? (Y/N)

if %cho%==N goto END

echo Enter password to Unlock Your Secure Folder

3) Now replace the "Password Here" with your Desired Password.

4) Then go to File > Save As and name file as Lock.bat

5) Double click on Lock.bat file and cmd prompt will ask whether you want to lock folder. Type Y and hit Enter.

6) Once done, Private folder is now disappeared.

7) To access files, double click on Lock.bat file and enter your password on cmd window.
